HERMITAGE  GEISHA

COFFEE LIQUEUR

Highland grain and husk is used to produce this geisha coffee liqueur, with no added sugars. The Geisha found in Panama is a distinctly different variety from the others around the world. It has an exceptional quality potential at the highest altitudes. In Panama it is grown from 1,700 meters to 2,000 meters above sea level. The correlation between quality and altitude is direct, the quality improves as the altitude increases. Geisha coffee is characterized by its floral and citric notes and extremely smooth taste. The flavor is of sweet florals, citrus blossoms, jasmines, honeys and certain types of fruits to name but a few. Geisha coffee is the last great addition to the coffee market.

ANTAÑO TYPICA
COFFEE LIQUEUR RESERVE

The differences in price and taste are in the types of coffee used for the TYPICA: Special Reserve comes from the Lamastus Finka at 1,800 to 2,000 m elevation. He recently obtained the best coffee in the world prize. This coffee is graded at 89 points in the specialty coffee standards. Reserve comes from several farms of lower elevations, 1,500 to 1,700 m, the coffee is graded at 86 points in the specialty coffee standards. Regular coffee comes from several farms at 1,300 to 1,400 m elevations, the coffee is graded at 83 points. This is very good commercial coffee but it doesn’t make it to specialty. We use two type of processes, the washed and the natural. The washed has a distinct coffee flavor and the natural has a fruitier flavor. Both have an intense natural coffee flavor.

IRISH WHISKEY

Childhood holidays in Donegal nurtured a love for the folk tales of the Sliabh Liag peninsula and more importantly a dream for the future possibilities of bringing legitimate distilling to the Donegal Gaeltacht. The Legendary Silkie Irish is the perfect sipping whiskey, enjoy as it is, over ice or in your favourite whiskey cocktails. The signature serve for The Legendary Silkie is the Silkie Rua, Silkie mixed with premium ginger ale over ice and garnished with orange peel.

DARK LEGENDARY SILKIE

IRISH WHISKEY

The Legendary Dark Silkie Irish Whiskey is the first addition to The Legendary Silkie Irish Whiskey Collection. The Sliabh Liag distillery has taken a bold step with Dark Silkie in recreating the taste of Donegal whiskey in the 19th century, which will reintroduce drinkers to the rich smoky peated Irish Whiskey. The Dark Silkie is named after the Silkies of the Donegal coast and has been designed to be savoured by the glow of a warm turf fire, in the later watches of the night.

AN DÚLAMÁN

IRISH MARITIME GIN

An Dúlamán Irish Maritime Gin is the first gin distilled in Co. Donegal. Dúlamán is the name of an Irish folk song which relates a conversation between two seaweed collectors (it is also the name of one of 5 gin seaweeds). The coast around Sliabh Liag holds an extraordinary bounty for such foragers with their centuries-old knowledge of harvesting and harnessing the qualities of these natural products. An Dúlamán bottles are reminiscent of those found along the Donegal coast during the wrecks of the Spanish Armada. Each bottle is wax sealed and the batch number is linked to the lunar phases.
Donegal’s Sliabh Liag Distillers today received the highest industry recognition from some of the most renowned names in the UK bar industry in securing the Gin Category Champion award for its An Dúlamán Irish Maritime Gin.

AN DÚLAMÁN SANTA ANA

IRISH ARMADA STRENGTH GIN

In late 2019 the producer launched a very special edition of An Dúlamán – An Dúlamán Santa Ana Armada Strength Gin, Ireland’s first Navy Strength Gin. Bottled at 57% and barrel-aged in Rioja casks, this unique gin will be a limited release.

An Dúlamán Santa Ana Armada Strength Gin is a barrel-aged, navy strength expression of An Dúlamán and is the first Irish navy strength gin to come to the market. As with the classic An Dúlamán Irish Maritime Gin, Santa Ana is inextricably linked to the stunning Donegal coastline. Its name comes from La Duquesa Santa Ana, a formidable Andalusian ship which was lost off Loughros Mor, Ardara, in Philip II’s ill-fated Spanish Armada’s attempt to invade England in 1588.
Aged in Rioja wine casks from the home region of the Santa Ana’s commander, the gin takes on a beautiful rose gold hue and a slight sweetness which complements the rich umami notes of An Dúlamán Gin. After aging, Santa Ana is bottled at “Armada” strength of 57% ABV.
